October 7th is the Feast of
Our Lady of the Rosary
This is what all of these Saints had in common while living in the world. In their hearts, they nurtured a filial love for the Blessed Mother. And in addition to those who lived in apostolic times, like Saints Luke, Mark, and Martha, all of the more modern Saints also devoted themselves praying the Holy Rosary of Our Lady. It is the Rosary that ensures that we remain close to Jesus. When we pray the Rosary, the Blessed Mother gives us her heart with which to love her Son, her eyes with which to look at Him, and her hands with which to hold Him and to serve Him. Just as Mary’s Immaculate Heart is always united to the Sacred Heart of her Son, so too will be the heart of the man, woman, or child who prays the Most Holy Rosary with devotion.
